Behind Closed Doors

Behind closed doors 008

We are deeply indebted to John Brace for providing this eyewitness report of yesterday’s Standards Panel. Well it would have been an eyewitness report if he’d been allowed into the meeting – which of course he wasn’t. Because no one’s allowed to know what goes on behind closed doors at Wirral Council . Read it and weep: http://johnbrace.com/2016/06/29/why-has-wirral-council-sunk-deeper-into-the-quagmire-of-poor-corporate-governance-surrounding-a-complaint-about-cllr-steve-foulkes/

As you know we think that it is far from hyperbole to describe this meeting as the most important and significant meeting in Wirral Council’s shameful history.

There are a couple of issues we want to raise about John’s gobsmacking report. Firstly we disagree , knowing what we know, that the complaint is solely about Cllr Steve Foulkes (or shouldn’t be anyway) . Unless of course there is a  separate meeting about Cllr George Davies pivotal role in the Wirralgate scandal and indeed Cllr Phil Davies role in the subsequent 3 YEAR OLD COVER UP of his comrade’s reckless actions.

As we’d reported previously Cllr Foulkes has had to resort to legal representation – surely not to defend what he has done?. As far as we’re concerned the evidence against Foulkes is irrefutable and overwhelming. Therefore we suggest that that the lawyer’s role is to ensure that the public Wirral are not allowed to know what their client has been getting up to whilst in public office.

They are clearly doing a good job so far – ensuring the meeting is held behind closed doors and preventing the publication of Patricia Thynne’s investigation report which is what the meeting was about. We ‘re just wondering who is picking up the tab for the legal fees .

Alongside his legal advocate Foulkes was lucky to have another strong advocate on the panel. Step forward Cllr Moira McLaughlin – who we’re sure made the necessary declaration of personal interest before the meeting started.

But then we may never know ………

  1. The so-called ‘independent’ person who by attending this secret meeting, implicitly gave the whole process his endorsement is a complete and utter disgrace.

The Council will be so relieved that they have such fearless ‘independent’ arbiters to push around and bend to their will.

  2. G’day Leaky

You and “Tarrantino” Brace should be sainted.

This is another victory for wirral and their best virtue of openness, honesty and transparency.

If they got shot of these three wirralgate pigs wirral but be a much better place.

At least Woy Hodgson had the decency to resign after abject failure.

But like the english rubbish football team who will now employ proven failures like southgate or hoddle wirral will persevere with the same crass crud and dross.

Oh Lordy what has happened to GREAT BRITAIN when all wirral can offer up is this shite.

Luv you and “Tarrantino” for your much needed efforts. XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

  4. G’day Lordsville

Talking about who was paying for “Ankles” legal fees to defend his filth?

    Answer at end.

When Wirral “Funny” Bizz were paid by the clowncil to tender for the knock off dosh from the very same clowncil that starts with a very small w.

Lordy me old china plate I think this might be illegal.

The clowncil were only too happy to pay to keep Wirral “Funny” Bizz on their dodgy books and they told the world they paid the dodgy invoices but like the missing contracts the backing sheets on the invoices for what they were paying weren’t there.

ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha

If you believe that croc of shit you will believe the ex “Dunny Chain Wearer” is paying his own legal costs.

I am sure Leaky that John “Tarrantino” Brace will get his very clean hands on the very dirty invoice and I bet the only thing not redacted will be the disgusting, obscene amount of your hard earned.

Ps What Lordy is the use of silly old fools on the council like Green or Gilchrist to the public playing what they deludedly think is important politics.

    What deal did they do?

Answer to question at top of page

    YOU

  5. I gave evidence nearly one year ago to Mrs Thynne. Had I guess ed how it would be wrapped up in a spiders web for digestion in a dark hole much much later, I would not have bothered.

What I saw was an envelope being passed from Councillor Foulkes to the pressman , Liam Murphy, and a closet conversation.

The Councillor misled the first Thynne report by claiming he never left his chair in the Chamber, never passed an envelope to Mr Murphy. I understand multiple persons witnessed his meeting on the balcony which necessitated Thynne Two. The envelope apparently contained blackmail material or so a former Wirral manager claimed.
Surely if Thynne one cost thousands the bill should be redirected either to Councillor Foulkes or the Labour Group since his misleading submission necessitated further costs in Thynne Two?
